Back to the air I go – this time headed for MacWorld!
I’m off to a great start, as I’ve forgotten my power adapter. Sigh, I guess I have a mission when I first get there…
A Mac Pro.
Tee hee!
I had more to say, but I only got 4 hours of sleep last night and I am walking dead. Sorry.
Oh, and here’s a little something for you to remember as you head off to slumber tonight.
I probably should edit the previous entry to post this tidbit of info, but I’m too lazy.
One thing I wish I could do when I’m in San Francisco is to meet this woman. I’d absolutely love to meet her in person and talk with her to find out how she shoots the pictures she posts on Flickr. I’ve been subscribed to her feed for some time now and just love her work. If only the Gazette were still around, she would certainly be a featured article!
I have to admit, my wife is a real enigma.
Not only is she allowing me to go on three work trips back to back (one of which was not mandatory, but she knows I really want to go), she’s allowing me to go on A) her birthday and B) when my son has three basketball games.
She is a real treasure – it’s not too often you will find a mate that is understanding enough to let you take on something like this. I’m not too fond of being away from home that long, especially during her birthday and my son’s first few basketball games. However, she knows (as do I) that I will have nightmares if I do not attend MacWorld.
I’m appalled at the lead story on CNN.com tonight (“What will you tell kids about Britney’s sister?“). I’m especially appalled that the world thinks that American parents are freaking out all across the nation about Jamie Lynn Spears being pregnant.
So… what will you tell your kids about it?
How about… the truth? Why is it so hard to talk about sex with your kids? It’s natural, they will do it one day. You did it – that’s why you have kids, remember? What’s the deal?
I meant to blog about this last night. Alas, I suppose I was so happy that I neglected to do so.
I ate fish.
For the first time in 20 years, I put fish in my mouth, chewed and swallowed it. I didn’t even try it all that slowly.
Some of you might call me irresponsible for going on a business trip and deciding at the last minute to see if I’m still allergic to fish or not. Others of you may not know this story and its momentous development. Therefore, I’ll rehash it here.
Too much of ask a ninja all at once starts to ruin the formula.
Maybe I’ve just had too much wine.
I’ve managed to catch up on quite a bit of to-do’s while the wife and son were out of town. Netflix is probably scratching their collective skulls at the amount of movies I’ve returned. I had three of them for over a year and suddenly I’ve not only returned three of them, but now I’m returning three more. What’s going on here? Surely he must be *gasp* copying the movies?
This new thing I’ve been cooking up here lately is starting to get some “rah rah!” momentum, methinks. I had a nice three hour meeting with an old coworker from the station who, after talking through all of the ideas, seems very much behind it. Earlier today I had an awesome meal with Vo0 and Whitey the Yak Shaver, there were some funny ideas brewing behind that one as well.
This morning I decided that I did not have anything to offer beyond what other Mac sites provide. I grow tired of sites rehashing news from each other or large print magazines and I’m afraid I wouldn’t have much more to offer beyond that.
That being said, the domain leopardcentral.com is up for sale. I’m smart enough to recognize how lucky I was to get that domain, so I’m going to hold on to it for serious bidders – either that or eventually, perhaps I *will* develop a site out of it.
