I’m sure Apple is testing something, but this is a given. Why would we try to glean something from this? Silly people.
Usage logs show Apple has begun testing iPhone 6 running iOS 7:

Here’s a few of my 2013 resolutions… er, goals, I mean.
Not too bad for goals, no?
What are yours?
Are you curious how I will spend the first day of the new year? Well, here you go. Our Wii has been jacked up for a few days now.
Well, this sucks. I hope they figure this one out. Of course, if they figure it out for space travel, they need to port the solution back to earthbound humans.
Houston, we have another problem: Study shows space travel is harmful to the brain
I can hardly believe it, but this blog is six years old. That’s pretty crazy. I suppose one of my New Year’s resolutions should be to blog more… but we all know how that goes. I will promise to try. How about that?
2013 is a mere 13 minutes away. I am sitting on my couch in the house we built in 2012, polishing off a second glass of @diosatequila cafe caramel flavor.
I sense that this year will be a transition for many in the computing world. (Well, hell. When is it not?)
I don’t have many resolutions, except that I want to get more of my creative self back out there in the world. I really need to get it moving. I am not getting any younger.
Here’s a little productivity tip for those of you who may need it. In OS X, one of the features that I find is vastly underused is Spotlight comments. Wouldn’t it be nice if you had a way to tag your files quickly and easily with say… a “TODO” tag or something so you could easily find them and remember to work on something?
Using Automator, you can do this very quickly. Open up Automator and build out a Service that looks like this:
Jersey Shore shark attacks that inspired Jaws:

On the Jersey Shore during the summer of 1916, four people were killed and one injured by what was likely a single great white shark. The attacks and panic that ensued in the seaside towns inspired Peter Benchley’s novel Jaws which, of course, Steven Spielberg brought to the big screen. Since then, great whites, whose populations have been dangerously declining, have sadly become icons of oceanic evil. Smithsonian magazine’s Megan Gambino conducted a fascinating interview with ichthyologist George Burgess about the Jersey Shark Attacks. Burgess is curator of the International Shark Attack File at the Florida Museum of Natural History. When a shark attack occurs anywhere in the world, Burgess and his team are on the scene. From Smithsonian:
Here’s a gem.

Bonus:
This morning on the way in to work, I was listening to the MacBreak Weekly episode 283 entitled, “Author, Author.”
I had always suspected Leo Laporte was smoking crack. Now there is no doubt. I don’t know if I can ever listen to him again. Maybe if I take a little break I will be able to circle back around to it.
In other news, I declared podcast bankruptcy and erased about 7gb of podcasts I will not have time to consume.
