I donât want this to sound too harsh, but sometimes I get tagged by these Internet memes and it just grates on my nerves until theyâre raw.
What I mean to say is, of course, Iâm flattered that my friends thought about me enough to actually want to know random facts about me and include me in the meme. Â The problem is when Iâm tagged with something like this, it lurks in my Inbox with a follow-up flag that waves at me every time I open my email. Â âHey, guy. Â Remember, thereâs some folks out there that want to know all kinds of random shit about you. Â Isnât it time you ponied up?â Â Itâs about as annoying as those bouncing icons in the dock that want attention. Â âHey! Â You! Â Me! Â Click me! Â Hey! Â Hello!â
Rather than spend an inordinate amount of time trying to pump out information about Macworld 2009, I thought it would be more appropriate to soak in the entire show and let my brain stew on it a little bit. Â I twittered the keynote quite a bit, so that was me trying to play journalist. Â For the rest of the week, I intended to take part in the show and ignore the fact that I was collected information to share.
For those of you who are interested in the Macworld keynote that will be occurring tomorrow⌠I have a guaranteed seat to attend and am planning to Twitter the presentation as it occurs.
I said planning. That does not include getting busted by any Apple employees or whatnot.
So just in case you are wondering if Iâm conscious of the New Year⌠yes, I am.  Believe it or not đ
I have just three resolutions this year and theyâre quite personal. Â Iâll share them with you, intrepid reader, since you can keep a secret.
Think I can do it? Â Who knows. Â I have a gym membership, so Iâm armed.
Last week I had to do some serious debugging on storage copy replication. Â We discovered that one of our SCC clusters had decided to quit replicating to the SCR node at the other site. Â Weâre not sure why (we think itâs because the SCR node was rebooted and replication was not cleanly suspended), but the ramifications of failed replication are interesting.

Did anyone catch the memo? Â The one that said Apple is done with Macworld after this year because they want to announce products on their own timeline? Â Yeah that one. Â I thought you saw that one.
Just a quick post to point out that Iâm radically happy my family is nowhere near this f-ed up.
The installers kept the appointment this time around â as of today we have Dish Network added to our plasma box of glory. Â So far itâs good. Â We ate breakfast while watching bizarre shows from the other side of the planet.
Itâs amazing how quickly the wife tired of it đ Â That was a quick Americanization.

One of the fortunes Iâve had this year was to finally obtain a ârealâ TV set to replace the small dinky tube Iâve had since I moved out of my house. In case youâre wondering, thatâs about 19 years ago.
Abitâs Death Date Reportedly Set: 31st of December, 2008 â X-bit labs.
Even though I donât care too much about building PCs anymore, this is sad, sad news. Â ABIT is shutting down completely at the end of this year.
However, on a positive note â at least that narrows down motherboard selections for enthusiasts.
